Candidates must possess one of the following Bachelor's Degrees from a recognized institution:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Fire Engineering, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.

- Passed the Divisional Officer Course from the National Fire College, Nagpur, OR completed the prescribed training (minimum 3 months) for Senior Supervisory Officer from a Central Government recognized institution.
- A minimum of 12 years of work experience in the firefighting field, with at least 2 years in a Senior Supervisory or equivalent position.
